Which product has been on the market longer, Libidoblast® or Viagra®?
LIBIDOBLAST has been available since 1996 providing a safe, natural, and effective way to improve sexual function and increase sexual pleasure for men and women. Viagra was introduced in 1998.
How do Viagra® and LIBIDOBLAST® work?
Viagra (sildenafil) works by inhibiting an enzyme called Phosphodiesterase type 5 PDE5. PDE5 interferes with a man’s ability to maintain an erection by allowing blood to escape from the penis so that Viagra’s ability to inhibit PDE5 can result in prolonging an erection. LIBIDOBLAST’s main active ingredients are the amino acid Arginine and the Brazilian herb Muira Puama. The amino acid Arginine produces a substance called nitric oxide (NO). NO allows the inflow of blood to the penis (and women’s clitoris) which is necessary to produce an erection. If a sufficient amount of NO is not produced, an erection will not occur. Arginine is essential for the production of NO. The herb Muira Puama, also known as Potency Wood enhances both the psychological aspects of sexual function behaving as an aphrodisiac and the physical conditions of sexual function by increasing the frequency and duration of erections. Recent clinical studies have shown Muira Puama to be the most effective and safe natural product for improving libido and sexual function.
Although most of the scientific studies have been associated with impotent males or those having periodic bouts of impotency, LIBIDOBLAST® is regularly used by sexually healthy men and women for it’s ability to enhance and prolong the sexual experience.
Side effects often make yohimbine very difficult to utilize. Yohimbine can induce anxiety, panic attacks, and hallucinations in some individuals. Other side effects include elevations in blood pressure, and heart rate, dizziness, headache, and skin flushing. Yohimbine should not be used in individuals with psychological disturbances.
At the Institute of Sexology in Paris, France, under the supervision of one of the world's foremost authorities on sexual function, Dr. Jacques Waynberg, a clinical study with 262 patients complaining of lack of sexual desire and the inability to attain or maintain an erection demonstrated Muira puama 4:1 extract to be effective in many cases. Within two weeks, at a daily dose of 1 to 1.5 (1000 to 1500 mg.) grams of the 4:1 extract, 62% of patients with loss of libido claimed that the treatment had dynamic effect while 51% of patients with "erection failures" felt that Muira puama was of benefit. These results are extremely promising and seem to indicate that Muira puama may provide better results than yohimbine without side effects. Adrian Zorgniotti, M.D., of the New York University School of medicine, and Eli F. Lizza, MD, of the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, conducted a 4 week long trial that involved 15 men who were all under 65 years old and in relatively good health. None had severe hypertension or were taking medication for high blood pressure. They were not heavy smokers and their vascular systems were in relatively good shape. The one thing that all had in common was a long standing inability to have erections.
Results of this study: In the first two weeks, none of the men reported anything out of the ordinary. By the end of the second two weeks, six of the men were reporting a marked improvement in their ability to perform sexually (approximately 87% improvement). Specifically, their erections were harder and longer-lasting than they had been before and they were now able to achieve vaginal penetration where this had been impossible before. None of the men reported any unpleasant side effects. The first two weeks of the study, the men were given a placebo. In the second two weeks, the men were given 1400 mg. L-arginine.
