This 100% natural product is formulated to regulate the effects of alcohol metabolism in a number of ways. One is by blocking and/or breaking down acetaldehyde which is the toxic by-product of alcohol consumption mainly responsible for hangovers and related damage to the central nervous system, skin, liver, and brain. Another is by providing nutrients designed to support healthy neurological, liver, and central nervous system functions that are adversely affected by alcohol consumption.
CHP does NOT contain activated charcoal like some hangover pills (Chaser, Sobr-k, etc.). It is a fact that in addition to adsorption of toxins, activated charcoal also adsorbs food nutrients, vitamins, and minerals, the very same nutrients already depleted by alcohol consumption. Activated charcoal is used in hospitals to treat life threatening alcohol poisoning but is not suggested for regular consumption. This depletion of essential nutrients by activated charcoal pills will further exasperate the nutritional problems associated with alcohol consumption.

N-acetylcysteine (NAC), an amino acid that helps to drive out the toxins acquired from booze and tobacco smoke. N-acetylcysteine (NAC) is known to assist in processing and elimination of acetaldehyde. Studies suggest that NAC, taken together with Vitamin C and Thiamine can be used to prevent and relieve syptoms of alcohol induced hangover. The primary detoxification mechanism for scavenging unmetabolized acetaldehyde (product of Alcohol_dehydrogenase) is sulfur-containing antioxidants like glutathione (L-glutamine preserves glutathione in the liver) and NAC (NAC boosts the production of glutathione). Glutathione and NAC are active against acetaldehyde because they contain a reduced (unoxidized) form of sulfur called a sulfhydryl group, which contains a sulfur atom bonded to a hydrogen atom (abbreviated SH). Another study indicates that NAC generally regresses the oxidative damage induced by Alcohol. A study in Italy suggests that glutathione prevents ethanol induced gastric mucosal damage and depletion of sulfhydryl compounds in humans.
Milk Thistle Extract / Silymarin. A number of studies have confirmed the potential benefits of Milk Thistle Extract / Silymarin in protecting and maintaining healthy liver function and reducing the symptoms of a hangover.
One of the main actions of the CHP formula is to increase healthy levels of glutathione in your body. Vitamins B-6, B-12, and folic acid are necessary for healthy glutathione levels. N-acetylcysteine or NAC dramatically increases glutathione. Milk thistle has long been used to promote healthy liver function and helps boost gluathione levels. Glutamine helps fortify glutathione.

“I have Asian Flush – my symptoms, only after a drink, are red/hot face, itchy skin, bloodshot eyes, fast heartbeat, and eventually wanting to vomit. It’s not fun.
I’ve tried a bunch of other products and found that CHP works decently against these symptoms. I’ve been using it for the past 3-4 years now. Previously I was using Cheerz which has similar ingredients, but they jacked up their prices. CHP doesn’t cure everything but it definitely helps. If you have Asian Flush, I recommend taking 2 with each drink. Recently I’ve taken Pepsid AC half an hour before I drink and that helps with the redness as well. Overall, you still can’t drink as fast or as much as a normal person, but at least you’ll be able to have a good time. Hope this helps!”
